2050m. Standard ascent from Sandfell or similar approaches

With the ascent beginning at only 50m above sea level this is a hell of a hike. A rope is necessary for the glacier and the ice cap as both are crevassed and, indeed, a couple of crevasses are crossed on the steep final 200m to the summit. The summit does not have a marker, but it is obvious when you get there. Care should be taken by its edge for huge cornices do develop.
