Rocktype Sandstone (soft)
Altitude Tidal
Faces SE
The crumbly rock here is breccia - angular rock fragments within a sandstone matrix.
The tidal window is so short the only recommended approach is by kayak. The 'Russian Roulette' tactic of running through the main railway tunnel to The Parson is now frowned upon! Access to Holcombe Beach is via Smuggler's Lane, off the A379. The lane gives access to a bridge under the railway.
The cliff top is private land (and the locals have been known to be less than friendly).
