Crag features

Small west-facing crag in woods near Bardsey on the A58. Very good for stamina traverses.

Approach notes

Park in a small lay-by on the A58, just south of Bardsey. Follow a path along a disused railway, through woods, and then onto a bridle-way. Cross the river at some stepping stones and walk left through tress to the crag.

No Access Issues

The area is a nature reserve. There are occasional spats with over zealous wardens but climbing has taken place for at least 60 years. The rock is soft and easily eroded and the crag edge should be protected if top roping.

Loving this little crag after discovering it's only 25 minutes from me. Nearly always quiet, great landings and lots of friendly walkers asking what the big mat is on my back. Getting a bit better from practicing here. Still struggling with the "Standard Traverse" though towards the end.
