Crag features
This is a friendly little cliff in spite of its relatively exposed position above deep water. The climbing is on a handsome tower on the east side of the cove. There are several pleasant lower-grade climbs. New routes and variations are claimed here on a regular basis; would-be pioneers should remember that 'they've all been done before'. Due to the proliferation of claims, some confusion over naming is inevitable.
Approach notes
Take the B3306 St. Ives - Pendeen road to the prominent ruined mine buildings of Carn Galver and park in the National Trust car park adjacent to them. Follow the path that heads seaward, initially through bushes and then fields, and over a couple of granite stiles. The path from Carn Galver mine meets the coast path at some remains of old buildings (5 minutes). Turn right and head past Bosigran and Halldrine Cove will appear down to the left.

| Climbed at Halldrine for the first time on 29 April - Bank Holiday weekend, Bosi v busy but we had thisd little crag to ourselves until 1 othe pair turned up! I was instructung a novice so this was a great little spot to climb with just 5 routes but plenty of other rock to play on. kernow klimber - 01/May/06 |
