UKC Logbook Description
Start under the Holly tree in the overhang at the right hand edge of the Buttress.
Climb up to the Holly and make a bold ascending traverse leftwards, around the corner to reach the front of the Buttress and good ledges. Climb the crack then move rightwards and up to a comfortable ledge and belay directly above the overhang.
Ascend the arete at the right of the ledge to reach the platform and ring peg belay of Kennel Wall. Ascend the blunt rib at the back of the platform to belay at the top of the crag.

βeta: VS 4b. Wandering... a bit of a non-line, though that's part of the adventure. Hollow start, but seems fairly solid... if you're circumspect with your runners. Not the best VS in the Lakes (cf. Rog's comment), but definitely very enjoyable. White-bellied peregrines ricocheting around the crags, whilst buzzards glided peacefully above the denseness of the valley, illuminated by the falling sun; me, ecstatic in the raging wind, looking down at it all. | βeta?

βeta: First time up the route since the large block was removed. Grade still feels fine, mantel shelf now instead of the precarious block.
