Approach notes

Continuing westwards (from Sanaigmore) along the coast a natural cliff girt amphitheatre backs and encloses the inlet of Geodha Uamh nam Fear and its adjacent headlands and inlets. The reamins of settlements and defensive walls are still evident in the bowl of the amphitheatre. Access to this rather magical area is via an obvious gap in the backing cliffs at NR 220 710. Access Advice

Should have said, as well as the farmer's general concerns there was a specific concern about an eagle possibly nesting somewhere near Geodha Uamh nam Fear.

Aug 2022: Definitely a golden eagle nesting in the amphitheatre. Nest up high on right hand cliffs looking in, partner say it flying around.

Took us nearly an hour to walk-in, going a bit rough especially going to the col to drop into the amphitheatre.
