2023 26th February update: The Ravens do not appear to be using the existing nest in Gardoms Unconquerable - however one more check will be made in case they are late starting, so please be observant and report any sightings if you are in the area.
In recent years a Tawny Owl has nested in the Layback Crack/Flake Crack.area - it is not known if they are present in 2023 but please keep your eyes and ears out if climbing in this area.
Rockfax Description
A spectacular outing. Begin under the beak and climb onto a green ledge on the left with difficulty. Climb up and then trend right crossing the overhang on generally good holds. Thrilling and photogenic but manages to feel slightly artificial. © Rockfax

βeta: Artificial? Can't say I was too bothered by that, it was a fun route with varied climbing styles. Roof is easy enough but I felt the air beneath me! There's a sheep on the ledge in the middle - don't put your hand in fresh poo - it's not fun! | βeta? | |
