Best Route in Minnesota © Butterfly with a Bomb

Crag features

The wall to the right hand side of the large cave through to Thaiwand Wall. This lovely wall sporting some quality routes across a wide range of grades. Welcome shade all day from October to April, all afternoon from May to September. Tends to be neglected by the hordes of guides.

Many of the routes have been rebolted with new titanium staples (Feb 2010) but several still have rusty stainless steel expansion bolts and are best avoided.

Approach notes

Access by foot, walk to Phra-Nang Beach and then head right along to the end of the beach where there are some bushes you can duck under leading to a path and then a ladder up to Escher World. Return to Railay via the cave, nice little adventure involving a spectacular abseil at the end.
