Getting the full body send of Diamond White at Earth Quarry. © Joe_Law

Crag features

Small disused quarry near conisbrough. The crag that comes to mind when you hear of the Esoteric East. Has the hardest problem on the Magnesium Limestone with that of Bordello. Classics of the area are found here The Big Dig, Diamond White and Midnight Caller. Probably over developed for what it is. Some hard unrepeated problems here. Limestone boulders detached from the main edge clean up really well where as the main walls/crag is very dusty and needs a good clean.

Approach notes

Park at the end of end of garden lane where the road forks. Walk West down the tarmacked road with a steel gate at the end. After about 900m take a path on the right which takes a rising traverse up to the quarry. If you miss this it is possible to go straight up the hill below the quarry.
A shorter but steeper approach can also be made from Conisbrough. Park in the housing estate on the North side of the railway and walk across the bridge over the river. Take the path going left behind the Earth Centre to join the Trans Pennine Trail, follow this then cut through to the tarmacked road when underneath the quarry.
Please don’t cross the fields from above or park on pastures lane as this could cause access issues.

Went a few weeks ago it's really scruffy and there's not much there
