Rockfax Description
Not the beast you might expect. Swing over the roof to access the left-hand side of the slab and climb it more easily to the break. Continue up the left-hand side of the buttress above keeping just right of the arete. © Rockfax

βeta: Really enjoyed this route. Fun start, easy slab (ok no gear but if you can lead HVS as it gets in the guide then it shouldn't be a problem) and a lovely (and harder than I expected) finish up the arete. Middling HVS?

βeta: Seconded this. Felt more like 5a than 4c. Why has the HVS 5a grade in the book been downgraded?

βeta: Extremely scary if the crack to the left of the slab is not used - anyone know if it's supposed to be in the route? . 5a over the lip at (ignoring crack on L) and then 25 ft of *completely* gearless padding (4b/c?). Final arete is highly entertaining but gear for the final tricky move (Friend 1) is placed blind (and I'm 6ft). Exceptional value at VS!
