Cwmaman is hidden in the back of one of the valleys, high in the Dare Valley. It is a fine little quarry in a decent setting and with some good routes. There are two sections of crag, both of which receive the sun for some of the day. The Main Wall is a clean sheet of almost perfect sandstone and has some of the area's best sport routes. The Right-hand wall has a gentler atmosphere with routes in the lower grades.

2 through bolts placed on the shared belay of Propaganda / Science Friction, the current lower off is very daAngelou’s and should not be used.A couple of SS mailons would be very useful until I’m able to replace it with glue ins.
A higher bolt as been placed on SF ,and a couple of the lower bolts replaced. sharpie - 02/Aug/20 |

Some good climbing here, but the crag is suffering from neglect. Seepage could be a problem on some of the harder routes Paul Robertson - 22/Jul/16 |

Alys Rook had a big loose block in it which has now been removed along with the 3rd bolt that was in it. At presnt there is now a run-out from 2nd - 4th but there should be a peg/ bolt going in, in the next few weeks. Ollie B - 17/Mar/11 |
