Obvious sandstone outcrop with a distinctive overhang at the left and high flutings at the right. Mainly flat landings with the bulk of the problems around the cave, highball lines on the right of the main face await an ascent. Topouts maybe sandy after rain and holds snappy if saturated as with most sandstone. Any cleaning should be done with a soft brush or rag so as not to cause damage.
Heading south through Doddington on the B6525 take a left turn after a right hand bend in the road, the crag is obvious on the left.
Heading north out of Wooler on the B6525 crag is visible on the right. Cross the river and take the first minor road on the right, crag is on the left.
Park by the entrance to the field without blocking it or the road itself. Head left round the edge of the field to a gate in the back left corner of it. Head through the gate and veer slighty right to pick up an obvious trail to the base of the crag. (10min)
