This sweep of perfect ice gives a great and sustained outing and is often high in the grade.

1) 5, 50m. Climb the icefall, sometimes passing a rock runner at 10m on the right, to gain a ledge (possible belay). Climb the short steep wall above to another ledge
2) 5, 60m. Move left from the belay (old pegs) and pump rightwards across steep ice to gain the more slabby wall above. Follow this direct and belay as far back as possible. © Rockfax
