Crag features

The UK's most southerly point is a barren expanse of fields and common land fringed by some ferocious looking cliffs, stunning beaches and quaint fishing villages. Although not particularly high, the routes are fairly steep and the boisterous sea directly below makes the cliff an interesting place to visit.

The cliff does seep a little after prolonged spells of rain. The cliff gets plenty of sun and at times can become very hot.

Approach notes

Follow the road signed to 'The most southerly point' down to the coast and pick up the coast path. Follow the coast path west (right looking out) until a small cliff-top bench is reached. This is directly above the Hollywood Walls on the Coastguard Cliff and the next summit 100m further on is the top of Tower Buttress.

The base of the climbs are non-tidal but they become wave-washed in moderate seas even at low tide.
