Approach notes

Follow the A4119 to a roundabout the start of Tonypandy proper. Turn left at the roundabout,then follow sign to Clydach Vale and take the third right after the church, Oak Street. Drive to the end of Oak Street and park. Head up the track for a few minutes then take the trail to the right down over the river bridge. Once the railings of the recreation field are encountered follow the faint path over fallen trees until the landfill fence is gained. The quarry is below, overlooking the pitch. (15 minutes).

Alternatley follow the track up until you come to a right turn take this turn and follow until the fence on your left ends tkae the faint path to the right and you are at the top of the crag. (15 minutes).
