Please avoid damaging fences - use the stiles provided. Historically there were access problems here, partially as a result of liability concerns and also due to damage to fences, but these appear to be resolved at this time.

There has been significant rock fall across this area over the past few years, climbers should check the route and be aware of more collapsing rock. Routes that have been affected are Septuagenarian, Guillotine, Wusty Wolf and possibly the start of Fool’s Gold.

Rockfax Description
Start below the line of weakness that leads diagonally up and left across the wall. Climb this easily with very little in the way of obvious gear until near the top. From the junction with Solstice, step right and finish on large positive holds (this was the original finish to Solstice). © Rockfax

βeta: Nice route. Loose rock for gear placements lower down which made it feel a bit sketch but after halfway cruised it. Eaten alive by midges so couldnt wait to get back to the car!

βeta: Can be well protected with a set of microwires, though some do have a tendency to be dragged out of their placements by the movement of the rope.

βeta: Not as bold initially as some guidebooks tell you, I guess with a full rack more-so. Steady climbing the whole way and lovely moves. Plenty of gear from halfway.

βeta: Watch out, the rock is not solid, so better to double check before pulliing holds outwards. Belayer must wear helmet. Good route though.
