Rockfax Description
An outstanding feature of the cliff that requires contrasting styles of climbing. Climb either wide crack (on opposite sides of the needle) to its summit - good spike runner and nut a little higher. From the top of the needle, a series of fingery pulls lead to easier ground and the top. The alternative starting cracks are both fine, but the right (looking in) crack is perhaps the better. The left crack is best started up the first groove of The Last of the Summer Wine to avoid its initial overhanging section. © Rockfax
