| Don't follow the 2003 SMC guidebook directions to reach the crag or you risk upsetting one of the cottage owners who told us we were effectively walking through his garden :( He suggested approaching from the south instead (which we did) and also stated that the guide book author had told him they were going to change the approach description... There is also a dog walkers path from the side of the shop (mentioned in the approach notes) by the bridge that runs between the houses and the railway through fields to past the old factory where a rough path suggests people cross the tracks here and puts you at the top of the ridge - however this is crossing the NE coast mainline and is technically trespassing on the railway (??) as well as dangerous to yourself and others... pebblespanker - 26/Sep/15 |
