Grange Hill has recieved a major clean up by local activists, producing various short problems, on a steep wall. It recieves the evening sun and very little drainage.
Grange Hill can be accessed from a housing estate bounded by long lane. Park consideratly and take the marked footpath that heads south, adjacent to Gresford Avenue for 100 metres, heading for the crown of a medium sixed tree that appears to be half submerged in the heath. The quarry is below the level of the surrounding ground so it is quite well hidden and may need some finding on the first occasion.
Stu and I gave the top of the left side of the crag a quick haircut to hopefully reduce the drying time and make topping out easier. Will be back at some point to try and clear the rest. James.houghton - 16/Dec/20 |
