Rocktype Ice
Altitude 1112m a.s.l
Idylic setting with arguably some of the best and most reliable ice in the area.
West of Duffey Lake on Highway 99 - Duffey Lake Road, park at a loggers bridge crossing the creek in Cayoosh Canyon. The Rambles lie high up on the east side of the road not readily seen from below.
A steep 20min hike straight-up through forrest takes you to the of Rambles Centre. As usual, orange tape marks the way.
Descent is by abseil due to the steep nature of the surrounding terrain. Tat with rap-rings are present round suitable tree trunks at most belays but bring extra tat to back-up as some may not have been used from one winter to the next.
