Hill features

Historical and dramatic limestone monolith overlooking the main N75 road between Grenoble and Sisteron near the hamlet of Chichilianne. First climbed in 1492 by a monk named Antoine de Ville.

Lots of routes up to the top, the Voie Normale and the Tour des Gemaux (E1/E2) being the most popular.

Approach notes

Parking just up from Richardiere then a steep slog for 1.5h up to the west face.
