A crisp winter day at East Woodburn crag © Petarghh
Single pitch routes. 1 E2, 6 E1, 2 HVS
Take the minor road out of East Woodburn and turn right along a gated track at the bend in the road. The road passes under the crag.
The belay stakes set a fairway back never seem to get a mention - no even in the guidebooks. Used the one for routes between Old Ash Crack and Patties Route. Think there may be others, but they are far back.
Cracking crag btw. MJAngry - 13/Feb/15 |

Although short the routes pack in a punch and are mostly well protected. Came here instead of the usual Wanneys and was not disappointed, a good day was had. petegunn - 20/Jul/12 |

"Although probably not worth the travel for experienced climbers."
...Except for the six E1s and two E2s of course! It's a great afternoon or evening out for E1/E2 teams. Si Litchfield - 08/Nov/05 |

I have been looking for some crags not to severe for my girlfriend to start off with and found a lovely little route here. Old ash crack is a 9m climb that is perfect for the beginner, text book placements and a nice solid confidence booster for anyone starting off. It also had some great Mid range climbs I realy enjoyed getting my tips onto myself. Although probably not worth the travel for experienced climbers. Marts - 12/Jul/05 |
