Fine routes on quality rock and a quiet forest setting, not to mention parking right by the crag! It features the hardest routes in the area.
Just a tough car is useful for the drive up, and at certain times of the year, the high elevation can make the drive difficult and icy!
Afternoon sun but heavily shaded by trees, so perfect for hot days, the high elevation makes climbing here in shoulder seasons often cold.
Best crag around!
It is approx 34km south of Kamloops. From
Kamloops, take the 5A Highway south towards Merritt. Reset trio odometre in Kamloops at the collection of gas stations on the corner of highway 5A and Rogers's Way. Travel south 23.5km to the start of Roche Lake road. Travel east on Roche Lake road for 7.3km (odo 30.8km) to the entrance sign of Roche Lake provincial Park. From the sign, continue left on the road 400m to another fork and turn left (odo 31.2km). Continue straight for 700m before turning left. Ignoring all smaller private roads that branch off, continue along this road for 2.5km (odo 34.3km). The wall will be on your right and won't be visible until you are right next to it!
Rocky and muddy road which may need a good vehicle to get to the crag.
