Hill features

Mount Rexford is large spire of high quality granite just north of the U.S. border and just south of Chilliwack. This mountain is the tallest in the general area just east of Slesse Mountain and Nesakwatch Creek and just west of Centre Creek. It rises approximately 650m above its local surroundings to the west. The east side offers a tremendous local relief above Centre Creek of over 1,500m. This mountain has good access for a peak in B.C. with driving via logging roads and a good climbers trail from both the west and east sides.

There are 3 spires - Mount Rexford and the North and South Nesakwatch Spires. These can be linked together and done in a day from car to car. Although there is an amazing large boulder to camp on so I'd suggest staying up there.

Summit of this hill

This summit has been climbed in 1 logbook.

Approach notes

It's the same access road as for Mount Slesse, so I would check the road conditions on Cascade Climbers.com.

The approach is a steep 2-3 hours uphill.

Volunteer to moderate Mount Rexford
We rely on volunteers to moderate their local hills. You would check updates and approve scrambles/summits added to the database. It's a very easy job, and all you need is a guidebook and an hour or two each month. read more
