Crag features

This is a beautiful and remarkable area of cliff which provides a genuine 'wilderness' feel. It offers an environment strikingly different from that of the more traditional accessible cliffs of West Cornwall.

The cliffs are north-facing and often crowned with steep grass. They remain damp from seepage and sea-spray late into the year and are more amenable in summer and early autumn. All the sea-level cliffs pose challenging problems of approach. Extra ropes are advisable for abseils and optional belays on grass finishes.

Approach notes

Approach from the small car park with the square granite building (once toilets, now abandoned) on the coast road halfway between Bosigran Count House and Morvah. Bear left across the road from the car park and take the path by the National Trust sign to a junction with the Coast Path. Go left along the Coast Path for 200-400m to reach the various cliffs.
