This charming area of golden granite marks the northern perimeter of Porth Loe Cove. The Buttress is made up of a series of towers and recesses and enjoys an open sunny outlook. There are some pleasant routes of a generally slabby nature in the lower grades, while the eccentric challenge of The Beak is well worth the effort.
From the car park in Porthwarra, take the road to the right, up the hill and through a gate. At the first left bend, carry straight-on along a footpath. Follow the approach as for Carn Barra to a point where the main coast path is joined by a secondary path coming from the left. Go back along the secondary path for a few metres. Just before a jumble of boulders, a broad grassy gully drops down to the crag.
