The Tramway - so named due to most climbers using the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to reach this bouldering area. The granite boulders here are scattered not too far from the Tramway station near the peak of Mount San Jacinto. The climbing style can be best described as steep.

Primarily a summer destination to escape the Southern California summer heat, the primary downside to this area is the cost. As of 2018, the cost for using the Aerial Tramway to get to the boulders is $25.95 per adult for the day. Other passes are available. Visit here for more details.

Remember to fill out a wilderness permit, even if climbing for the day! Permits can be acquired at the ranger station on the way to the boulders from the upper Tramway station.
