Crag features

On the right-hand side opf the road a few miles up Pine Creek Canyon are a series of multi-tiered granite buttresses separated by deep talus-filled gullies. Most of the climbing lies in Pratt's Crack Gully, the deepest of these. In recent years there has been a good deal of sports development at Mustache Wall, the first north-facing wall encountered on entering the Gully. Most of the buttresses are on this side and so provide excellent shady summer climbing. A few minutes to the right of Pratt's Crack Gully is the fine PSOM Slab, which has also seen a lot of development.

Approach notes

From Bishop drive north on US 395 for 10 miles then turn left at the the Rovanna/Pine Creek Rd exit. For the PSOM Slab drive 7.3 miles then park at the second line of deciduous trees. A faint path leads to the crag. For Pratt's Crack Gully drive 0.4 miles further, then turn right and immediately right again up a dirt road. Park at the end of this and follow the obvious trail into the slot canyon.
