Changes on a regular basis - check www.omanclimbing.com forum for updates or ask. About 30 minutes from Carrefour City Center Seeb depending on traffic outside of Muscat.
The current condition of the crag(12/2008) is that quite alot of the climbs are now easily climbable left of Shadow anything around the corner to the right from that though where the small lake use to be is now bigger, more polished and unprotected. I believe there is ideas of filling the chasm left behind, but this is Oman, it'll take a fair while to organise and the fact there is a new highway being constructed at present over the wadi will probably prolong this further. Still good trad and sport routes available for an evening doss. AdventureRocks - 15/Dec/08 |

The floods that coincided with the cyclone in Summer 2007 devestated the Wadi Adai (where Five O'Clock Slab is located). The floods wached away the valley bed at the foot of the climbs right of Short Rations - there is no a deep pond of green water there.
There are some bolts in situ.
The best descent is given as the left-side of the slab (looking at the crag). This is precarous at best - involving sliding down short sections of polished limestone. It is possible to set up a retrievable abseil to avoid this. Mike - 07/Mar/08 |
