More bald than bold these days © philnohair
Small Bendcrete artificial boulder. Large sections designed for children but Western Arete may provide some interesting overhanging problems. No known problems defined.
Although not as large as the similar Oxford Boulder, the rural location means that it's well kept and in good condition.
Located in the village's recreation ground on Rack End/Northmoor Road. Follow the signs to the village hall (500m from junction with High Street) where the recreation ground is located. The boulder is obviously visible, next to the tennis courts.
Visited for the first time today - the area was clean and in good order. My 15 year old son and I had a good hours bouldering and will definitely visit again. philnohair - 05/Jul/12 |
