Crag features

Known also as Besparmak and 5 fingers, the mountain was climbed extensively in the 1960s and, due to "The Cyprus Problem" from then very little until recently. Local are now re-climbing and checking the old routes and adding many more. Loose rock abounds in the little climbed areas, so care is advised, but for adventure climbing this is truly a splendid hill.

I visited Ukclimbing forums in 2002 to try to obtain update gen on this area, without success. My army mates and I first climbed here in 1957 and 1958 and did a number of probable first ascents of some quality but I know climbs had been made here previously and since. At Easter 2003 I did 2 new routes with my wife and daughter but not major ones because of a lot of bad weather. I had intended to do some repeats as well but didn't have time. The area is well worth more attention, is anybody interested in gathering all available information together? Is there any inf. to gather?
