Very old gritstone quarry with some faces of "herring-bone" hand picked grit. Unfortunately, shale bands and a sloping soil layer finish make much of the quarry unworthwhile. The climbs done so far take advantage of the few reasonable upward exits.
Same parking area used for Stanton Moor (northern approach) walk north through the woods. Or parking for a single car down the hillside to the north and an uphill approach on concession path.
