Crag features

A pleasant little crag in a lovely sunny setting. It feels a bit more like climbing in the Yorkshire Dales than the mighty Verdon, and the small, well-protected routes here offer a good contrast to the soaring epics of the main gorge. Many of them are very polished, such is the popularity of the crag.

Approach notes

600m east of the Col d'Ayen, opposite a solitary farm house, a track heads down into a small bunch of trees, the entry is steep. Park here and head downhill to pick up cairns that trend left to the edge cliff. Scramble (carefully) down to reach the narrow ledge-system that runs under the face. The ledge at the foot of the face is narrow and exposed; not a great venue for children.
