Crag features

A tall, leaning boulder high above Nant Ffrancon valley overlooking a stream. Two obvious faces each with an obvious line. A beautiful location for an isolated boulder but a long way to drag the pads!

The bloc is covered in delicate lichens and surrounded by plants, only two small holds were cleaned originally, please be very careful of the surrounding flora when climbing.

Approach notes

Park at the layby 30m South of Tai Newyddion, walk North along the road, through the gate towards the slate heaps. About 100m beyond the gate take the gate through the fence on the left and aim towards the massive tree above the scree, keeping the main stream on your left. Sticking to the river path avoids the scree. Beyond the big tree the steepness eases. Follow the path along the river a bit more until the boulder comes into view on the opposite bank. The stream is easy to cross.
