Rope running down ‘Flipping the Switch’ on the West side of Carasgor © Jamie Skelton

Crag features

Short well protected cracks and grooves of black bullet hard basalt. The main crag drys quickly after rain but some of the other buttress around including 'flipping the switch' will seep and a dry spell is needed.

Approach notes

1hr (ish) bike to the end of the tarbet road / track and then head across to the North side of the island aimining for a burn that leads down to the beach NG 22721 05781. You can skirt north round the tops of the cliffs once at the bottom of the river. After a short way a protruding nose of rock comes into view (top of the main buttress).
