Crag features
A sunny, slabby crag perched on the hillside overlooking a wooded valley and the Queanbeyan River. The rock is composed of a thin bed of limestone that has been metarmorphosed towards a sugary-textured marble. The face varies from 12 to 18 meters tall and is fitted along most of its length with double bolt anchors that are easily accessed from above for top-roping (bring screwgates and a sling). There are a couple of bolts on the blanker slab sections, but most of the climbs are trad leads. Fixed up and rebolted in 2020 after fires took out Booroomba Rocks, this is a great place for beginners. Canberra Climbers Association has a PDF topo on their website.
Approach notes
Park at a lay-by opposite 46 Witherslack Lane (-35.387965, 149.239699) and hike northeast for 15 minutes along easy bike trails through the woods.
