Crag features

A small micro-crag of hard sandstone just south of Bristol. Like a Mendipian Terpentws. Short but punchy bolted sport routes from 6-12m, as well as some traditional crack lines with good gear. Bolted throughout with stainless steel PPE rated glue ins.

Approach notes

Turn off the A37 onto Eastcourt Road, towards the end a public footpath sign can be sign pointing into some woodland. Enter here and step over the rusty ancient fence post heading diagonally right and upwards into the woods. (See pictures for map)

Eventually you will come to a bowl on the prow of the hill with diverging paths. Cross over this bowl and head down towards the warehouses, taking an obvious left into the quarry. Follow a track around to the right and down (as you face the warehouse) to the base of the walls.

Limited parking opposite the public footpath sign, also space before the gates into the circus/trading estate. Please do not enter the trading estate or ask locals where the wall is. They may think you wish to climb the much bigger wall which is out of bounds due to nesting Peregrine Falcons.

No Access Issues

Keep it quiet and respectful, and avoid being tempted by the big wall opposite this crag, it's been made clear it's out of bounds due to nesting birds.

Never would have thought this would be round the corner. By the way have you been to the back of this quarry, there is a blankish looking wall around 30m high!
