Crag features

The rock closest to the gravel track has a nice overhang with several possible lines, good hand holds but slippery feet. The other rock has a couple verticle boulders to warm up on and won't give you much trouble if you are flexible as a high heel mantle is needed. Mostly bouldering or scramble, longer trad is possible on the west face but you'd have to be desperate to climb it.

Approach notes

Walk South of the Bog visitor centre about 500m and take a left into the NipStone Rock Reserve where you should easily see the rock on the brow of the hill. Follow the gravel path up the hill to the East side.

Alternatively get onto the man Shropshire way trail and head South along Stiperstone ridge, Nipstone Rock is the next rock patch down from Stiperstone Rock.

Parking is free at the Bog visitor.

No Access Issues

Nipstone Rock is along a nature trail with easy access via footpath.
