2 small limestone towers high on a hillside overlooking a valley. 18m high
Approach notes
From the centre of Pommelsbrun drive in the direction of Heuchling (NNE). After 350m park on the left by a zebra crossing. On foot take the small road on the right called Felsenweg. After 200m take a footpath signposted with a red letter 'z' to the right and follow it steeply uphill. When you get to a forest track with lots of loose stones on it follow the red 'z' route uphill along the track to the right until it starts to drop again. Here follow the red 'z' route as it heads steeply uphill towards a viewing platform. Pass this on the left and keep walking straight on just below the ridge line and past a second viewing platform. The Zankelstein is just after this on the right.
