Rocktype Conglomerate
Altitude 41m a.s.l
Faces NE
40m wide (long), 4m high man made vertical retaining wall built from various types of rock in small to large blocks of different shapes. No gear, tiny holds. Avoid kicking out the grouting, which is presently very solid. Excellent training ground with a fairly solid onsight challenge.
Visible from lower terrace of Orchard Brae Park North, Orchard Drive, Edinburgh just off Queensferry Road.
Respect local residents, don't use up their street parking or make too much noise. I live next to it and have asked the neighbours if they don't mind climbing on the wall and they are accepting of it, many are intreagued and enjoy watching, so long as it doesn't get overrun or noisy. Borders a nice park to chill out in between attempts. Ongoing free use will rely on the Council not receiving complaints which means knowing when the wall is too busy and leaving.
