St Mewan Beacon, in the wooded area behind the beacon, is 2 small 10ft and 8ft areas. This natural landmark lies some distance from the village, to the north-west of Trewoon. It is a tor exposure of quartz-topaz-tourmaline rocks.
Parking at the top of Carne hill, Walk up the public footpath to the beacon, behind the beacon in the wooded area, there is a small wall with a couple of little problems on it.
