Climbs 8
Rocktype Sandstone (soft)
Altitude 133m a.s.l
A small quarry overshadowed by its very popular neighbour. A good venue for explorers and those wishing to escape the crowds.
Online guide at shropshirebouldering.co.uk, big thanks to Sean for his efforts on this!
Leave the A5 at the Felton Butler roundabout and follow the road into Nesscliffe. Turn off opposite the Three Pigeons pub and follow the lane past the parking for Nesscliffe. Take the first right, then left into the car park.
Start down the bridleway and follow pedestrian signs for Cliffe once they appear. Eventually you will cross over a small road into what might feel like somebody's driveway, but don't worry. Keep following the main path into the woods, and eventually the entrance to the quarry will appear ahead of you, just to the left of a hill with a downhill trail.
As usual, park considerately as this area is often used by horse riders for parking cars and trailers, in addition to not being rowdy when approaching past houses.
