Crag features

A sandstone quarried crag. With strange rock carvings which help to find you’re bearings. May require a second visit to truly find where you are. The Lost wall and Pex/forgotten wall are the only real obvious challenges hear abouts. There are two entrances into the wood from the field. Handrail the wood line for the lost wall take the northern most track that goes down into the wood, there should be a man made stone square mound on your left at this point break track to your right and walk back to the eastern edge of the wood is the Lost wall. The most southern entrance leads directly to the top of the Pex/forgotten wall on entering the wood best to break track right and walk around the bottom. The problems on this wall will all need cleaning the bottom part is quite sandy but higher up is bullet proof rock, then let down again by poor rock on the top outs. Make sure you do an inspection before an ascent.

Approach notes

Parking is available at the mumbai lounge car park then walk down Balkley lane to the field on recent visit the field had been newly plowed so no obvious track best to stay close to the fence to not upset the farmer. Alternate parking on Cliff road but slightly more awkward as no place to turn around so would need to reverse out. Make sure mounted the kerb as best as possible to not restrict movement of vehicles on the road.
