Coho Park is a lovely forested area between the Garibaldi Estates and the Garibaldi Highlands. A well-manicured trail wanders through old-growth forest beside a salmon spawning channel before traversing a slope above the Garibaldi Springs golf course. The trail is frequented by mountain bikers and hikers - it's one of Squamish's nicest local trail walks.
Outcrops of smooth, glacier-polished granite dot the hillside above the golf course, and the Coho Park trail cuts right through the middle of the area of highest density. Climbing is possible on many of the boulders and small cliffbands above the path. The rock tends to be smooth and the problems in this area are quite moderate, although a few trickier climbs could likely be done by motivated scrubbers. This is a very peaceful spot, far from the Grand Wall boulders, and gets filtered sun in the afternoon.
