Crag features

Mt Mizugaki is inspiring rock climbing area with its unique figures, composed of many rock towers, offering about 600 sport/trad routes. It is located in Chichibu Tama Kai National Park, a few km away from Ogawayama, Japan’s popular rock climbing destination. Their climbs are similar: many good cracks and other type of natural lines as well as number of sports routes. Many muti-pitch routes, mostly around 6 pitches. However, while Ogawayama welcomes less experienced climbers, Mizugaki is suitable to experienced climbers. In April 2016 Japan’s hardest trad multipitch (5.14a + R/X, 225 m 7 pitches) route was accented. It has only four bolts for anchors. This cleanest style has been respected and performed In Mizugaki. In the recent years, bouldering becomes very popular. Extensive area of granite boulders spread over various sectors. Route climbing also available.
