Part of the Plas y Brenin Boulders in the NWB guidebook, but closer to the lake... Quite photogenic! "At the far end of the Bryn-engan woods There is an isolated block, with a half a dozen lines, some of which are semi eliminate. It's quite an odd thing, but strangely good nonetheless."
From the footbridge over the lake head river (by Plas y Brenin), turn right along the lower track. Walk past a couple of poor dirty crags on your left before a less dense area of forest appears on the left. There is normally a small cairn (a collection of about five small blocks) marking the turn off point. A slight path snakes up through the spaced trees then heads steeply up a small hill to a small boulder perched on the lip. 10m behind it is the Mymbyr Boulder.
