Rocktype Basalt
Altitude 9m a.s.l
Faces SW
Overhanging wall, around 10-12 m high at its highest point. A handful of routes between VS and E3, following crack lines which are all steeper than they look. The rock is good solid basalt.
Top out is heathery with little in the way of belay points (one rock placement and some small trees). An extra rope was looped around a nose of rock on the NE side to provide a belay on the first ascents.
Access is by boat. There is a boat from Oban North Pier to the marina on Kerrera (about 500 m from the crag). Alternatively a canoe or kayak may be used, landing N of the marina.
Once on Kerrera, head on foot to Hutcheson's Monument at the N end of Kerrera (NM844310). From the monument, head NW on a faint path to reach the crag after about 200 m.
