Matterdale’s best and only bouldering venue!!! It can be safely said that the quality is in keeping with that of other crags in the valley, i.e. small, lichen clad, and definitively naff. The crag so far has a couple of short, steep, crimpy boulder problems but there is the potential for more short problems and more excitingly some short, bold trad/highball routes.
From Ulcat row, follow the public footpath towards Dockray for a short way before taking a small, grassy track immediately after crossing a stream. Then follow the track uphill before branching off towards the crag through heather and scree.
