Amazing limestone cliffs at about 2000m above the sea level with a subtropical climate. It is possible to climb here pretty much all year around as there are some very steep crags in case it rains but there might be issues with humidity or hot weather/direct sun. Although the majority of climbs are well-bolted, there are some mixed routes and some traditional routes too. The cliffs are currently divided into two sectors, Macheta Antiguo and El Salon de la Justicia.
There are currently a couple of guides, which should be available at Monodedo shop near the Suesca cliffs among other places.
There are buses from the Bogota Terminal Norte that go directly to the little village called Machetá and beyond, the crags are about 5km past this village. For Machetá Antiguo, get off the bus just before Quebrada Agua Blanca and take a sharp left turn up the hill towards Umbita. Then it is about 1.2 km (20 minute walk) up to where there is a sharp right-hand turn onto an obvious path (make sure you close the little make-shift gate so that the cows stay in) up the hill. Follow the path up for about 15 minutes until you reach the crag on your left.
As for the access, I would recommend to team up with some local climbers (easy to find at Las Rocas de Suesca) as it is not the most straight forward one, especially the newer sector, El Salon de la Justicia. Also, the developers of this crag had to negotiate the access to the crag and there is a small entrance fee (I don't think it is more than 2 USD) to be paid to the landowners. Please make sure (if driving there) that you park as not to upset the locals.
