Crag features

Large abandoned quarry with ochre mine. A main East and Western wall, with small pockets of bouldering dotted around the woods.

The lower half of the main walls are bisected by a clay filled crack, careful hand placements are required to pass it, with solid limestone and good climbing above. The East (White Ladies) wall gets mottled sunlight most of the day, the Western wall is shaded and more prone to damp.

Traditional, Sport, and Boulder routes with more in progress.

Approach notes

Approach via the A368, the quarry is in a woodland at the end of 'The Coombe'.

The Coombe is private and there is no realistic prospect of parking here. Various options are available in the village, the pub has a large carpark and it seems walkers also park here. A discretionary common sense approach is best.
